DNU 366/2025 (29 May 2025) tightened rules: permanent residency requires proof of means and a clean record.
Citizenship: in June 2026 the National Electoral Chamber annulled the articles moving citizenship cases to Migraciones; federal judges handle them again.
DNU 681/2026 (30 July 2026) added grounds for entry bans and residency cancellation; it is being challenged in court.
